As a leading coffee grinder manufacturer with an international market, the German-based Mahlkonig needed a strong digital presence in the United States. Looking to launch a destination where Mahlkonig’s stateside customers could order replacement parts, access product manuals, and purchase accessories, Mahlkonig tapped Codal to build and launch a user-friendly eCommerce site on Shopify Plus.
Codal delivered an engaging customer experience that allowed for seamless product navigation and acted as a knowledge center for product support and maintenance.
Codal settled on prioritizing the product navigation by including several different user flows for finding the correct part.
In addition to the standard custom work—aligning the theme with Mahlkonig’s brand conventions, for instance—Codal’s engineers built some of the store’s features entirely from scratch, including a ‘Shop Parts By Model’ feature.
In addition to a ‘filter by model’ on the product page, our designers created a separate ‘Shop Parts By Model’ module, that acted as a wizard for customers looking for a specific part for their coffee grinder.
